Nun ist sie also doch gerissen, die Serie des Ausscheidens der Gruppensieger bei der EURO 2008. Mit Spanien hat sich im letzten Viertelfinale schließlich doch noch einer der Favoriten durchgesetzt. Und das gegen niemand geringeres als den amtierenden Weltmeister Italien. Das Spiel im Wiener Happel-Stadion hingegen war alles andere als weltmeisterlich. Ein maues 0:0 nach 120 Minuten. Also musste, wie bereits am vergangenen Freitag im Viertelfinale zwischen der Türkei und Kroatien wieder das Elfmeterschießen entscheiden und wir Überstunden schieben. Aber was macht man nicht alles für ein solches Erlebnis. Nach dem Elfmeterschießen hieß es dann 4:2 für Spanien, das damit am kommenden Donnerstag erneut in Wien auf Russland trifft. Vielleicht sollte ich auch dafür schon einmal die Überstunden einplanen...
