In der gestern Abend veröffentlichten zweiten Beta von iOS 16.1 wurde festgestellt, dass man nun auch direkt vom iPhone aus ohne Apple Watch ein Apple Fitness+ Abonnement abgeschlossen und gestartet werden kann. In der zeitgleich veröffentlichten zweiten Beta von tvOS 16.1 existiert nun ein Screen, der es gestattet, ein iPhone für die Apple Fitness+ Workouts zu verbinden. Auch hier wird entsprechend künftig keine Apple Watch mehr benötigt.
